CLAY CLASSES

Come get your hands muddy!
Whether you are a complete beginner or more advanced artist. I offer single sessions to have a taste of how it feels to work with clay or 4-week courses to experience the entire process of creating a ceramic piece from scratch to a finished product.

  • One-time workshop

    Have a taste of how it feels to work with ceramics during this one-time beginner’s handbuilding workshop! 
    During this 2.5 hour lesson various handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building will be introduced. Whether this is the start of your ceramic journey or just a fun creative morning or afternoon, what you make is completely up to you. You will craft an average of two or three unique ceramic pieces. By the end of the workshop you can paint your work with engobes. I will handle the firing and transparent glazes. 
    - € 45,- including all materials (clay, tools, paint), firing and professional guidance. 
    - Max. 10 people per class.

    - Christmas decoration workshop 🎄

    During this workshop you get to make your own unique ceramic Christmas hangers/ornaments/decoration. 
    € 48,- including all materials, 3 types of clay, paint, glaze, firing and a few options of colorful ribbons to use for the hangers, cold/hot drink, snack.

  • 4-week ceramic course

    During this course you will dive deeper into various handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building, focussing on technique and exploring bigger and more complicated shapes. While the first session is a bit slower and goes more in-depth, the second session offers time to practice and experiment freely under my guidance. During session 3 you have the option to explore different decoration/painting techniques by the use of engobes. Session 4 is all about learning the basics of glazes and decorate your pieces with techniques such as brushing, pouring and dipping.

    - € 110,- including all materials (clay, tools, glazing), firing and professional guidance. 
    - Max. 8 people per class.

    *The course consists of three weekly classes, followed by a two-week break to fire your pieces. 

  • Details

    - All classes requires a minimum of 4 participants. If this number is not reached, unfortunately, the workshop/course will not take place.
    - All classes are perfect for beginners. Whether it’s your first time working with clay or you're looking to improve your skills, I've got you covered.
    - All classes are taught in English.
    - Your finished pieces will be ready in 3 to 4 weeks.
    Cancellation policy
    If you cancel more than 7 days before the class, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the class begins will not be refunded.

    I understand that life does not always go as planned. However, unfortunately, catch-ups cannot be accommodated for 4-week courses, except in unforeseen circumstances.
