Workshop handbuilding
Have a taste of how it feels to work with ceramics during this one-time beginner’s handbuilding workshop!
During this 2.5 hour lesson various handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building will be introduced. Whether this is the start of your ceramic journey or just a fun creative morning or afternoon, what you make is completely up to you. You will craft an average of two or three unique ceramic pieces. By the end of the workshop you can paint your work with engobes. I will handle the firing and transparent glazes. Your pieces will be ready for pick-up in about three to four weeks.
If you live abroad, no worries! I offer international shipping for an additional cost, ensuring your handcrafted creation will reach your doorstep.

In CUPS & SODAS, I am joining forces Quinta da Cultura and invite you to get creative, and connect with traditional crafts. You’ll get to:
- Craft your own clay cup
- Brew your own naturally fermented wild soda with a ginger bug
No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to play, learn, and enjoy the process. Come share a hands-on experience in community. We’ll also break bread together and snack on some yummy lacto-ferments between the two sessions.

If you cancel more than 7 days before the workshop, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the workshop begins will not be refunded. If you encounter an emergency or illness, you will receive a voucher which you can use to attend another workshop.
The class requires a minimum of 4 participants. If this number is not reached, unfortunately, the workshop will not take place.

4-week clay course
In 4 lessons, you will explore various handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building, and experience the entire process of creating a ceramic piece from scratch to a finished product. You will also have the opportunity to explore decorating and painting techniques. The course consists of three weekly classes, followed by a two-week break to fire your pieces. In the final lesson, you will glaze your creations. Your finished pieces will be ready in 3 to 4 weeks.
